Jose Rizal's ancestor: Regina Ochoa or Ursua? Pls, answer...expert historians!?
Arg! I'm soooo confused with this! And i seriously want answers from those who are experts! Pls...
According to “Lineage, Life, and Labors of Jose Rizal, Philippine Patriot” by: Austin Craig...........there was no mention of Eugenio Ursua
and Regina was an Ochoa not an Ursua.
and her parents there were Mariquita Ochoa and Marquis de Canete (a Spanish nobleman) instead of Japanese settler, Eugenio Ursua.
In other sites, Eugenio Ursua and Benigna were consistently mentioned as parents of Regina.
Which is right? Austin Craig's? or from the other sites?

the best known biography of dr jose rizal was authored by leon ma.guerero titled the first filipino. accoring to rizal historian and philippine historian this is the best book so far.... dr.zaide also had a biography which is also used in colleges as their texbook but the first filipino is now being widely used by many universities and state colleges.
reading the first filipino would certainly answer your questions. even rizal's letters it is included in there...
or if your tired and lazy to read. contact prof. bonifacio rizal tacata, of the dept. of history of the mindanao state university. he knows every detail about rizal and very obsessed with him...

Jose Rizal, The Movie $21.24 A three-hour epic on the life and struggles of poet and patriot Jose Rizal, the national hero and martyr of the Philippines, this film was commissioned to mark the 1998 centennial of the country's independence from Spanish colonial rule. Rizal was a remarkably educated man; not only was he a writer, but he was also a painter, sculptor, doctor and surgeon, teacher, natural scientist, economist, engineer and theologian. The Rizal of her story Cesar Montano is thinking back on his life and writings from his prison cell in the fortress of Santiago; the characters that appear are a blend of the real people, friends and enemies as well as those he created in his books. The script is solid, with a contribution by Diaz-Abaya's long time collaborator, Ricky Lee; the soft tones of the cinematography helps to create an atmosphere of magic appropriate to the story of a legendary hero, and the acting by Cesar Montano is quite remarkable. Don't insult the heritage of the Filipinos. What made you say that Jose Rizal was the father of Adolf Hitler? Jose Rizal was the national hero who wrote 2 novels (Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo). He wrote them in Europe.
You are seeing that the Filipinos are bad and cruel through the Philippine National Hero, aren't you? Jose Rizal was never a murderer! You are against the Philippines. Prove yourself that this really happened. Adolf Hitler never had filipino ancestors.
